About Us
We are an authentic yoga retreat centre based in central Portugal. Over a decade ago We (Sue & Peter) purchased a derelict property that had been abandoned for over thirty years with a vision to create a place where we could share our knowledge of yoga, qigong, mindfulness meditation and healthy eating.
We has spent every penny that we had on purchasing the property and unfortunately only had a small amount of cash remaining to renovate. This meant we had to work really hard for six years and learn new skills along the way to restore the property back to its rustic beauty of the old days, when it was the central hub for jobs. We renovated the property ourselves to the point w of exhaustion and met many challenges along the way.
Today we have created something very special for our guests to enjoy year after year and our ethos has always been to ensure that our prices will always be inclusive. We have held charity retreats in aid of families fleeing conflict and managed to raise enough cash to pay for a whole year of yoga classes for these tortured souls to attend which also included the bus fair to get there.
In 2019 we will be holding a yoga retreat for women and have free places for those who might not be able to afford the price.
